Vatomandry center

The center of Vatomandry was created in 1993: it is the first residential school of the association.
It is located on the eastern coast, 185 kms south of Toamasina, and welcomes about twenty young children and students, all residents.

The President of the association of Vatomandry is Mr Marco Miarana. He is assisted by an office composed of a secretary and an accountant, and Mr. El-Aziz Manjira, responsible for the center.

In February 2012 cyclone Giovanna once again hit this region and the center of Vatomandry was damaged. The housing of the person in charge was redone, as well as the sanitary facilities and the kitchen (which was built by the parents).

In 2019, important renovation works were undertaken by the association, thanks to the support of the association "Terre des Jeunes". The work consisted of installing a water supply system, renovating the dormitory, completely redoing the restaurant, the study room, the kitchen, the sanitary facilities, the sports area and the fence, as well as building a water tower.
